I devised an all-encompassing rubric for every element of the personal statement. It zeros in on and truly embodies my philosophy revolving around the personal statement. I would strongly encourage you to check these out before downloading the rubric, which can be found below. As for actually utilizing the rubric, you can certainly run through it yourself, however given our natural tendencies to be more lenient on ourselves, I would also advise you to have someone else (or really multiple people!) put your personal statement to the test with the rubric as well.
